Starry Nights |
Last year I was watching the news and saw the pictures
coming in from the Hubble space telescope of the birth of stars, an image from 5,000 years
ago. I thought, This is like the finger of God! There on the screen was a starlit
trail of space dust a light year long.  On my birthday my daughter took me to the opera Faust. Then, when I went home, I found a long brown mysterious box propped up by back door. In it I found a Meade telescope and three lenses. It was a birthday present from my son Richard and his wife Tara. I went outside immediately and saw the new moon. |
