The Silver and Gold Knights would be leading the party. The Silver Knight had very strong eyesight, so he was elected Official Lookout.

"We must be very brave," said the Prince to all his friends, "for my sister's sake."

Everyone cheered, and one knight who had no sword ran back into his house, but everyone understood and didn't blame him.

"Avante!" cried the Prince, and the party sprang forward.

Among the items carried by the Prince was a treasure chest that he had carefully packed that morning. No one knew what it contained, but the Prince hoped it would save his sister if brute force failed.

Meanwhile, the nefarious Hooded Figure, at Lord Mandible's request, sneaked out of the Grass Castle to see what the people of Nice Town were up to.

He used his ghost powers to look far through the dark forest, and soon he spied the mighty army of the Prince approaching.

He hurried back to the Grass Castle, and hissed into Lord Mandible's ear: "They come, My Lord."

Lord  Mandible sat down on his Trap Throne and pressed a red button.

"No!" screamed the Princess, and fell in a faint on the brick floor.
